TX7316: 4.8-A mode in 5-level mode

Part Number: TX7316

Hello,

My customer has a question about TX7316.

[Q]

Please tell me how to configure (H/W and S/W) the 4.8A mode in 5-level mode.

(refer to D/S P.1 1 Features)

Best Regards,

Hiroshi Katsunaga

  • here are the description :

    8.4.1 4A Mode
The pulser of the device can be configured to give out 4A current when device is used in 5-level mode. To get
the 4A output keep the voltage level of AVDDP/M_HV_A and AVDDP/M_HV_B supplies same. Set the register
bits 4A_CNTRL_1 and 4A_CNTRL_2 to '1'. Writing these registers configures the device in 3-level mode even
though pin LVL_3Z_5 is connected to logic level ‘1’. So configure the rest of the setting of device assuming it is
in 3-level mode. So group A and group B pulser will get enabled together and gives out a maximum drive
    strength of 4.8 A at 100-V supply.

    Thanks!

    Xiaochen

  • Hi Xiaochen-san,

Thank you for your fast response.
I almost understood, but I have one question.
I confirmed the D/S (SLOS950), but I can not found the registers 4A_CNTRL_1 and 4A_CNTRL_2.
Please tell me the register address and the bit field.

  • i think it is called as 4A_Mode_CNTRL_1/2 . hope it helps. i will ask our datasheet team whether we can fix that.

by the way, TX7316 is in produciton now:)

  • Hi Xiaochen-san,

    Thank you for your confirmation.

OK, I wait for the D/S to be updated.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
