Hi TI,
We are not going to use the CLKTX+- pins in our design.
So what to do with these pins?
Do we need to terminate them or can we left them floating?
Thanks,
Lalit

Hi Lalit,
These pins have internal termination. It is safe to leave them floating.
Thanks,
Eben.
Hi Eben,
Thanks for the reply.
Can we configure this output as single ended output?
What will be the connections for configuring CLKTX+- in single ended output mode?
Thanks,
Lalit
Hi Eben,
Any update on the single ended mode operation of CLKTX+- pins of DAC38RF80?
Thanks,
Lalit
Hi Lalit,
You can AC couple to the single ended clock input and connect a clock driver that has swing of 800mVpp or higher.
Note that the device characterization data in the datasheet is performed with the differential clock input. The single ended clock input has only been tested for functionality.
Thanks,
Eben.
Hi Lalit,
There is a single ended clock input that you can use: pin A12
Its ok to leave the differential clock pins floating if they are not used as they are internally terminated.
Thanks,
Eben.
