ADS8688: What is the clock to data out (Tco) Min and Max value?

Part Number: ADS8688

Hi E2E,

Our customer is looking for the minimum and maximum value of clock to data out (Tco)  of ADS8688. They want to know how long does it take from the falling edge of SCLK for data to appear on SDO?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Regards,

Carlo

  • Hello

The timing requirements for this part are explained on page 11 of the datasheet.

The information you are looking for is the Hold Time, t_HT_CKDO which is a minimum of 10ns. after the falling edge of SCLK, there is a minimum time of 10ns to wait until a new SDO data is valid

     Regards

    Cynthia

  • Hi Cynthia,

Thank you for responding. I understand that the t_HT_CKDO is 10 secs, what is the maximum time to wait for data to be valid?

    Regards,

    Carlo

  • Carlo,

Another way to think of this, is by looking at the T_SU_DOCK timing.

The set up time for SDO data to be valid before the next falling edge, this has a minimum time of 25 ns.

That means the same SDO data is valid for 25 ns before a clock falling edge and 8 ns after the same falling SCLK edge

    Regards

    Cynthia
