ADS1282EVM-PDK: ADS1282EVM-PDK additional supply power schematics and USBStyx

Part Number: ADS1282EVM-PDK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320VC5509A, ADCPRO

Hello, TI community!

I've got some problem when I getting started install USBStyx driver. I have succesfully installed the NI-Visa driver (TMS320VC5509A) and ADCPro (version is 1.1.0). But when I run the ADCPro and clicked the menu for board, it says "DSP not ready... Retrying". I know someone had question like this and it was solved, but I want make sure that am I connected all power supplies and addition ones properly?

I read EVM board's documention and found that the jumper J12 should be disconnected but when I do it the board doesn't works, PC's property menu doesn't show that the connection is fine and the LED D2 doesn't glows. Thats why I connected the J12. I have attached the schematics below. Please don't judge me, I haven't another components and I created scheme for addition supplying to board with those ones that I have.

As you see the values of input voltages there are no perfect. -4,84V for -5VA, and +/- 9,6V to VA+/-. I measured with multimeter. Is that matter be perfect for installing USBStyx driver and make sure that is everything ok?  Thank you much!!! Sorry for my bad English!

Best regards,

Osim.

  • Hello Poster!

  • Hello, Tom!

Now, everything is ok! I solved this problem with one of my friend.

At first time, I had installed the ADCPro version 1.0.0 to PC which OS was Windows XP. But that doesn't helped.

After, I downloaded the newer ADCPro version 2.0.0 and also ADS1282EVM-PDK-SW and istalled to PC with Windows 7 OS. There are links:

    http://www.ti.com/tool/ADS1282EVM-PDK?keyMatch=ads1282evm-pdk&tisearch=Search-EN-Everything

But it doesn't still worked except that moment when I returned back the jumper J3 to connect the SEL with DVDD as shown on Figure 6 in the documentation "sbau144d. (2016)". I don't know why at first time the jumper J3 wasn't connected properly. I had to be attentive :)

Plus the J12 should stay connected which doesn't show on figure 8. when you want use an external supply (like +/-10 and -5V). And I already had the driver libusb-win32 devices before the installing the ADCpro, so I disabled it. Maybe I'm making mistake, I'm not sure on my own words but in mine PC the software works.

Thanks for feedback. By the way Happy Independence Day.
