Hello,Sir/Mam

I am exploring ads1222 IC for my circit.It will be used to sense the weight of the load cell with 4 Wire configuration.

I want to know ,

How much Gain can this IC Provide..?? also is gain of this IC Programmable....??

Also please suggest some other ic which have 2 differential channel input and cost effective.!!

    Hi Tirthal,

    The ADS1222 is not the best device for making load cell measurements as you cannot make ratiometric measurements beyond 2.5V excitation (the maximum reference input voltage is 2.5V).  Also, the ADS1222 does not have a PGA for gain,so external gain would be required. 

    Some alternative devices would be the ADS1232, the ADS1220 and the ADS124S06.  These devices will all accept a 5V reference with gains up to 128 possible.  The pricing will vary depending on additional features that may be included.
