2.8V LVDS to 1.8V LVDS converter

Hello,

Is there any chip that can convert 2.8V LVDS signals to 1.8V LVDS siganls.

These are the details,

Processor/ 2.8V LVDS Tx OLED/ 1.8V LVDS Rx
Output Differential Voltage (VOD) 0.25 - 0.45 0.100 - 0.300
Output High Voltage (VOH) 1.25 - 1.6 1.4(mim)
Output Low Voltage (VOL) 0.9 - 1.25 0.4(max)
Offset Voltage 1.125 - 1.37
Common Voltage 0.800 - 1.350
LVDS I/O supply voltage 2.8 1.8

Can any one please suggest how to do this?

  • Hi,

The voltage rails are not relevant; just hook up the LVDS signals from the driver to the receiver as usual.

LVDS is specified to have a certain nominal swing (350mV for each side of the signal) around a certain common mode voltage (1.2V). If the receiver is seeing an LVDS swing around 1.2V then the receiver doesn't know or care what the supply voltage was for the driver.

We use the ADS5474 EVM with our TSW1200, and the TSW1200 uses a Virtex4 with supply voltage of 2.5V for the LVDS receivers. No problem.

    Thanks!
