ADS8860: Code for Verifying ADC Functionality

Part Number: ADS8860
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PLABS-SAR-EVM-PDK

Hi,

I'm trying to verify the functionality of my design which uses the ADS8860IDGS and I was wondering if there is any example code available that I can load onto a dev kit digital host platform. I'm just looking for something that will display the voltages read by the ADC to a console/terminal.  I can purchase whatever digital host is needed. I'm a hardware engineer and the bandwidth of our firmware engineer is limited right now so I need to figure out something on my own.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

We do not have any example code for the ADS8860.  However, there is an evaluation board that is part of TI's Precision Lab series that uses the ADS8860.  You could easily use this platform to capture readings from your target ADC design.  The software GUI supports time domain capture, histogram, and FFT analysis of your waveforms.
