TSW14J57EVM: 10GHz PRBS pattern generation

Part Number: TSW14J57EVM

Dear TI team

I am new to this forum and have some questions about TSW14J57EVM.

http://www.ti.com/tool/TSW14J57EVM

We are looking for a pattern generator card which can output PRBS pattern and some arbitrary digital pattern from a single channel with an external clock varying from 1MHz to 10GHz. On the description of TSW14J57EVM, it says that the lane speed can be up to15 Gbps. I am not familiar with the terminology in data conversion, so I am not sure if the lane speed means the overall output speed from 16 channels, or just some of the channels can output 15Gbps. And can TSW14J57EVM be clocked by an external oscillator?

Please kindly advise. Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Ray

  • Ray,

There are a couple of SMA's that can be used to bring in an external clock. The board has 32 high speed serial serdes lanes that can run up to 15G. For more information about the board, see the TSW14J57EVM User's Guide that can be found under the TSW14J57EVM product folder on the TI website and the Intel website under the Arria 10 product folder.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Hi Jim

Thanks very much for the info.

    Best regards
