ADS8681: Regarding ADS8681 datasheet

Part Number: ADS8681

Hello,

I was wondering about the "F+1" meaning at page 44.

Could you tell me about the exact meaning?

Thanks.

  • Hello Bruce,

This means you can not get the output data in the same frame as the command issued. When your command is issued in the frame F as an example, the output data can be seen in the frame (F+1) which is next frame of frame F.

    Thanks&regards,

    Dale

  • Hello Dale,

Thank you for your quick feedback and I understood it.

    On more questions,

To get the ADC conversion result, I sent the command as "0x00000000".

    Is it right command?

Another commands, I could not receive the ADC conversion result.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Bruce,

I apologized for the delay. Any useful command to this ADC should be 32-bit, please see the table 5 in the data sheet, otherwise, the command will be considered as NOP (No operation). Can you please show me your timing plot captured with a scope(CONVST/CS, SCLK, SDO and SDI)? Did you observe any signal from RVS pin? Also, your schematic will be helpful to address the issue.

    Thanks&regards,

    Dale
