LM98640CVAL: Suitable AFE development kit for thermal imaging sensor with PC interface

Hi,

I need an AFE for a thermal imaging sensor.

My requirement is that I should be able to view the output image from the AFE in a computer so that I can ensure my sensor interface components.

I am looking for something equivalent to LM98640CVAL. I would appreciate if you could suggest any suitable components and development kits to speed up the design process.

Note:I am developing a thermal camera for road traffic application.( vehicle presence detection)

Hi,

The LM98640QML-SP is a space grade imaging device. I suspect that its cost will not meet your budget requirements for an on-earth application. Also, the EVM for this device is only compatible with a computer with XP operating system which is no longer supported. I am moving your post to the medical imaging product line to see if their portfolio might meet your needs; I recall devices from this product line being used for similar applications.

HI Alex,

Thanx for the reply.I need parallel output.I learnt that VSP 5610 supports only 8 bits (parallel).

Is there any software to view the VSP5610's output in PC as an image?

Since we do not have a dev kit for this I don't think you will be able to evaluate without building a board.
