ADS8556: Is ADS8556 pin to pin and Software compatible with AD7656A?

Hi.

As I know ADS8556 is compatible with AD7656.

How about AD7656A?

According to TI x-reference, ADS8556 is compatible(Cross reference code S) with AD7656, But AD7656A is not compatible (Cross reference code F)

    Hello Jake,

    Welcome to E2E forum.

    Both their devices are pin-to-pin and software compatible and the A version was released later mainly for improved power supply sequencing shown in the datasheet. Hence, ADS8556 is pin-to-pin and software compatible with both devices. Also, ADS8556 does not have any specific power supply sequencing requirement. I hope this is helpful for you.
