Hello Community,

is it possible to connect external sensor, such Solar Sensor (two terminal - photodiode to sense solar radiation e.g. SUF083J001 ) to the LMP90100 evaluation board (link) ?

Hello Alex,

I am sorry for the trouble. Basically, i wish to use texas's LMP90100 Sensor AFE Evaluation Board , http://www.ti.com/tool/LMP90100EB . I have attached user guide for reference. I am not able to find any way that mentions that any external sensor (other than RTD or inbuilt thermocouple) can be connected to board. I am curious to know, is there any way we can work upon?

Hi Amit,

No worries. As long as the input range is not violated the device can be used to measure whatever you like. It just so happens that this family of devices is typically used for RTD and thermocouples since the resolution, sample speed, features, etc are geared towards that market. That being said, the LMP family of devices is somewhat old. You may want to look at some newer devices in our portfolio such as the ADS124S08, ADS1262, ADS1220, or ADS131M04.

If you have some criteria in mind such an number of input channels, resolution, sampling speed, I can help you narrow some choices down.
