I am using the ADS8548SRGC ADC and the thermal pad on the device has been connected to the Ground plane using multiple Via’s for better heat dissipation.
Can the thermal pad be connected electrically to ground ?
Will it have any adverse effect on the performance of the device or cause any damage ?
The data sheet does not give any information about connecting the heat pad to a Ground plane.
