Hi Matt,
The threads automatically lock after 2 weeks of inactivity, which is what happened there after I posted my reply and there was no further activity in the thread.
Did you try the methods I mentioned in that thread? I am pasting that below once again for your convenience.
The installer does contain the LV RTE but sometimes either due to Windows installation privileges or a previously installed LT RTE the installer does not successfully install the 2010 LV RTE. Your best options are either A) to re-run the installer as admin or B) go to the NI website and manually download the LV RTE.
Install the 32-bit or 64-bit RTE based on your operating system.

32-bit:
I did try those methods. Unfortunately the problem persists.
Is there a unique location that I need to install the RTE or way to point the DAC software to the directory?
I have made attempts to install and run this software using multiple different computers with and without full versions of LabView. The issue continues to occur.
Matt,
Can you verify that the LabVIEW RTE shows up in the Windows Control Panel?
Matt,
That is interesting. I hadn't reinstalled any LabVIEW content on this PC after a refresh, but I was fairly confident that the LVRTE showed up in the Control Panel. However I just installed the DAC8760EVM GUI fresh myself and also do not see the RTE in the Control Panel, so perhaps that is no longer the case with newer versions Windows or I'm just recollecting things incorrectly.
On 64-bit Windows 10 I had no issue running the installer and software on my end.
I do not mean to sound unhelpful, but have you reached out to NI for support on this as well? To some extent they likely have better expertise on the matter than we do at TI as users of their platform.
The only other thing I can think of right now is that I suggested the wrong RTE and there is some compatibility issue. I will dig into that, but I will need to reinstall some more NI tools to do so.
All good! I appreciate the help thus far. I will reach out to NI and see if they can offer any additional insight while you're digging into that.
tt,
The version of the RTE on my PC from the DAC8760EVM GUI installer is 2010 SP1. The links I sent before appear to have converted to some generic link but you can still navigate on that page to get to the 2010 SP1 RTE in either 32-bit or 64-bit variants for your PC. Be sure to pull down the 2010 version and see if things work out.
From the NI website:
Thanks! As soon as I replied to your last message this morning, I discovered that, uninstalled, reinstalled the correct, restarted and it fixed the issue.
Thanks for your help!
