ADS8668: Design Review

Part Number: ADS8668

Could someone help with a design review? The previous revision was receiving incorrect data back. I believe I've made all necessary corrections, but I'd appreciate if anyone sees something blatantly wrong.

Thanks!

  • Hi Matt,

    Below are my suggestions:

    • For the ground, looks like you are splitting the ground, a single solid ground plane is recommended for the ADC. If you really want to split it, REFGND and AUXGND should be connected to analog ground.
    • RST reset pin should have an additional connection to DVDD via a pull-up resistor.
    • R79,R82,R84 value can be smaller. For example, R79=50ohm same as other series resistors, R82=R84=0ohm or smaller value.
    • I do not know the reason why you are designing two resistors on the AINx_GND, this should be a balanced input RC filter on ADC input to achieve a better accuracy, however 357ohm and 0ohm resistor can be exchanged if you want to keep one more resistor on AINx_GND, for example, R69 and R70.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Dale

  • Thanks so much for the help!
