DAC3484EVM: EVM GUIs do not boot

Part Number: DAC3484EVM

Hello,

tried to install the DAC348x and ADS540x EVM GUIs on a windows 10 machine to run an existing testbench, and receive the error messages shown in the screen shots below when I attempt to run the programs. Is there any chance you know what needs to be done to get these programs working?

Thanks!

Randy

  • Hi Randall,

I had seen this before on a freshly installed Windows systems. If you start the DAC and ADC programs without first plugging in the EVMs for the FTDI USB chip driver to run, the DAC and ADC programs will not be able to find the driver.

Please try to plug in the EVMs to the PC through USB connector and power up the EVMs. Let the Windows find the drivers for the FTDI USB chip (on the EVM), and then start the DAC and ADC program.

  • Hi Kang,

This seems to have resolved the problem. Thanks!
