Problems with TVP5151EVM

Hi Anton,

It is possible that the USB EEPROM was not programmed prior to shipment.  Attached is an EEPROM programming that utility that should allow you to program the EEPROM.  Please try this and see if it reoslves your issue.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Excuse, you couldn't make the small instruction. Can to me the driver for TUSB to program EEPROM is necessary or I misunderstand? In advance thanks!

You can copy the ZIP file to a directory of your choice and unzip. 

Execute xUSBProtocolDriver.exe.

The attached dialog should appear.

You can then read the current version by clicking on <Get Version> or program the EEPROM by clicking on <Put image on EEPROM>.

Larry, I cannot configure EEPROM by means of this program.

The program cannot incorporate to the device. The driver is probably necessary? I much all tried and on different computers!

I have downloaded program TUSB3210 EEPROM Burner Installer and the driver to it.

The device was defined so:

In the program it is possible to program and clear EEPROM, but I have no .bin file.
Please give me .bin file or prompt why your program does not work.

I was worn out! HELP!

What operating system does your PC use.  It was my understanding that the bin file and everything required should be included with the utility.  I will check with our software expert on this.  The utility worked on my laptop without issues.

Unfortunately, most of us are out of the office for the rest of the year, so we may havae to wait unitl after the new year to resolve this.

Attached is the document that describes how to program the USB EEPROM. 

1) Run the Windows installer (Setup.exe - which you recieved previously)  This will copy driver files:

     c:\windows\inf\oem3210.inf

     c:\windows\system32\drivers\apploader.sys

     c:\windows\system32\drivers\tusb3210.bin     -> Binary USB formware file.

2) You should get a New hardware wizard when the TVP5151EVM is connected to USB. 

     Document shows how to install apploader.sys.

    If you don't get a new hardware wizard, you might need to go into Windows Hardware manager and uninstall

    whatever driver it has attached to the device.

3) Use the TI TUSB3210 EEPROM Tool for TVP51XX EVM application to program and verify the EEPROM.

Michael T, In archive which has given Larry there is no file setup.exe. Probably together with setup.exe are put the driver.Load setup.exe and the problem will be solved.
