ADS1204: Power Supply recommendation

Hi,

I am using the ADS1204 with a 3.3V power supply for both inputs AVDD and BVDD and its internal reference generator. I do not know if that can affect its performance, assuming that the internal reference generator works well with 3.3V as supply voltage at AVDD. Can you clear me how the internal reference work?

Hi Raul,

Please see the RECOMMENDED OPERATING CONDITIONS of the datasheet. You will see that AVDD should be no less than 4.75V.

We cannot guarantee how the device (or the reference) will work when using 3.3V for AVDD.

Can you suggest me a Step-Up DC-DC converter with low ripple voltage to use in this application?
I found the TPS81256. Do you recommend it?

Hi Arul and Alexander,

The datasheet shows the operating range of the TPS81256. If it fits for the application, it should be good to go.
