ADS125H02: how should i connect the single end signal for ads125h02

Hi,TI's Buddy

My customer is using ads125h02 for their test system, they want to know,if the input signal is single end and the amplitude is +/- 5v;how should i connect the signal to the ads125h02;?

my thinking is positive signal connect to Ain0 or Ain1,negative signal connect to Acom; meanwhile HV-VDD>+5v and HV-VSS<-5V.

please give me suggest, thanks.

Hi Cickey,

The ADS125H02 can support 1-differential input channel, or 2-single-ended input channels. See section 9.3.2.2.1 in the ADS125H02 datasheet on page 27. The description is just as you have stated.

The HV supplies require some headroom. See section 9.3.3.1 of the datasheet regarding the PGA Operating Range. To have an input range of +/-5V requires HV-AVDD of =>7.5V and HV-AVSS =<-7.5V. I would suggest downloading and using the ADS125H0x Design Calculator and check the common-mode range for the input range, reference and supply range desired.

thank for your quick reply.

i get your meaning, i still have another question.if only one single end signal, i connect it to AIN0 and AINcom,how should i deal with AIN1, fix it certain voltage level?

There is a section in the ADS125H02 datasheet (10.1.3) that discusses Unused Inputs and Outputs.
