ADS1256: Recommended crystal

Part Number: ADS1256

Hi Team,

I found “Table 17. Sample Crystals” as a CRYSTAL recommendation in the datasheet.

"MANUFACTURER FREQUENCY PARTNUMBER Citizen 7.68MHz CIA / 53383 "

Is the CIA / 53383 part number still available from the manufacturer?

If not, please tell me the current recommendation.

    Hi Kenji-san,

    I can't find the crystal part number mentioned in the datasheet in distribution any longer.  Some of these older crystals were not RoHS compliant.  Most crystals should work without issue with proper loading and PCB layout.  

    The ADS1256EVM also uses a Citizen crystal.  The EVM BOM shows the part number HCM49-7.680MABJ-UT, but I think the current part number is HCM497680000ABJT.

    An external clock source could also be used if desired.
