ADC14155QML-SP: Outside Full scale?

Hi Christian,

I have a question regarding the ADC14155QML-SP. What happens to the digital output if the input signal is below the negative full scale or above the positive full scale? EX: Vin+ = Vcm-0.5*Vref-ε, and Vin- = Vcm+0.5*Vref+ε.

Does the output become all 0s, roll over to all 1s, or undetermined?

Hi AH,

Section 7.3.1.1 of the datasheet (page 18) states that the analog inputs should never be driven beyond 2.6V. Additionally, any voltage that exceeds the reference will just be clipped. There is no roll over of the data.
