I'm using ADS1292R for plotting ECG. ADS1292R gives 24 bit output (3 bytes) but ECG values don't need 3 bytes in general. So I wanted to check in what bits (MSB, MID or LSB) will I get ECG data. The gain is set to default (6).

Is there any conversion factor involved for the ADC output to convert to ECG. How can if I can convert this data to 16 bit??

Hi Deepak,

The data comes out MSB first, you can simply truncate the last 8bits to convert to a 16 bit measurement.

This helps a lot. I also wanted to ask how to handle the respiration data in ADS1292R?

Does gain effect the respiration and if yes how to handle the respiration data from channel 1 of ADS1292R. What kind of values will I get for a normal human respiration from the ADS. Is there any conversion factor involved and is it dependent on gain factor set(default 6 in my case).
