Hi,

I 'm using ADS1299 PDK to test the ADS1299 and I met some problems.

Several weeks before, I use the PDK to detect my ECG and I can get the right signal. Then I tried another evaluation board (nRF52 DK) to read signals from the ADS1299-PDK (only the ADS1299EEG FE part). I could get the right input noise and internal test signal from the PDK, but I cannot get the correct ECG signal.

Then I used the MMB0 to read the signal from the FE part again, but I cannot get any correct signal this time! All the signals are like the picture below:

I'm wondering whether it's caused by the wrong registers setting or wrong jumpers setting on the board? Or just because my board is burned??

Hi Taoyi,

It's certainly possible that the board was damaged or something was changed when the interface with the nrf board was attempted.

I recommend using the debug steps in the BIOFAQ to verify that your ADS1299 device is still functional: https://e2e.ti.com/support/data-converters/f/73/p/772058/2855202

Then use the PDK user's guide to check the jumper locations and use the test points to ensure that the correct voltages are present.

Thanks for your reply! Another question, I connect the PDK with nRF-DK like the picture below, I just want the MMB0 board to power the ADS1299 board, and use SPI to read data from ADS1299 board using nrf52. Is this connection correct?

Happy to help!

That should be fine - just make sure that all of the GNDs are tied together so that all of the signals are with respect to the same potential.

Hi,

The original post reported that the board was working fine until interface with another, non supported board was attempted. Failure analysis is reserved for issues with the board due to manufacturing, shipping, etc.
