Hi team,

my customer would like to evaluate ADS8691(18bit). It seems we do have the EVM only for the 16bit version ADS8681 only. Can we modify the EVM by changing the converter? Would the software support the 18bit version ADS8691? Or is there a better way to evaluate it?

    Hello,

    You should be able to use the ADS8681EVM to evaluate the ADS8691. They are pin to pin compatible.

    I would just point out that due to the resolution difference, the GUI will be catered to the 16 bit device, thus there is a possibility that you will be missing the last two bits of resolution of the ADS8691. But for evaluation purposes, this should work.
