ADS54J66EVM: Reading JESD register value on ADS54J66EVM

Part Number: ADS54J66EVM

Hi there,

I have a ADS54J66EVM board. I am not connecting it with any other board. I just want to simply test if writing to one of the JESD page registers will retain its value when I read it back. Please correct me if this is not a correct expectation.

The setup is very simple: I have the ADS54J66EVM connected to 3 things: 1) power source. 2) PC with USB cable. 3) Analog signal generator on channel A (170 MHz +15 dBm).

Now I run ADS54J66EVM GUI on PC.

1. Load LMK_Config_LMF_4421_491p52_MSPS.cfg (after this step, I saw D3 LED lit up so the clock is properly locked)

2. Press reset button SW1.

3. Load ADS5xJ6x_2x_Fs_4_mode_0.cfg (from log I can see all the values are successfully written to the registers)

At this point, my expectation is if I read back some of the JESD registers, I should be able to see the value I set in step 3.

for example, in step 3 I set 0x6A0016 to 0x02. But when I read it back it says 0x00. Is my expectation incorrect?

BTW, this only happens for all registers on JESD pages (6800h 6100h 6141h 6900h 6A00h). I have no problem reading back the correct value on those 2 Analog pages (80h 0Fh)

Any help appreciated!
