DAC8775: Current output sharing with 24V digital output

Hi team,

My customer considers to use DAC8775 for 4-20mA analog output.

But there is a concern that Ioutx pin need to share with 24V ditgital output as shown in attached at their product.

So the customer considers to add diode at Ioutx pin for protection.

Is it enough protection from 24V rail?

Hi Mago-san,

I believe the diode is sufficient (assuming it has a valid voltage range, etc.)

Does the DAC8775 have a supply voltage of 24V or greater?

Thanks for your reply.

The DAC8775 need to be protected even if it's power off condition.

In operating condition, supply voltage will be 24V.

This circuit should protect the output while it is powered off as well.
