AMC1336: Datasheet spec clarification

Hi,

In the datasheet of AMC1336 it is given as 0V corresponds to stream of ones & zeroes that are 50% high.

Is it like for one particular analog value it will be ones for 50% & zero for 50%.

For 1V, is it like ones will be of 90% and zeroes 10%. Is my understanding right?

Hi Harsh,

Your understanding is correct, please review Figure 45 in the AMC1336 datasheet. A FS+ input will give all 1's while an FS- input will give you all 0's.

Any idea of how the digital output is manipulated by uC. Do we need to have some filter at the digital output?

Hi Denesh,

Yes, you would need to filter the bit stream - you can do that with an FPGA or with one of our micro's that include a filter module. We have MSP430's and some C2000 devices which can do this for you.
