ADS7254: CFR.B7 of ADS7254

Hi team,

In the ADS7253, CCFR.B7；CFR.B9 is used to configure the input of the ADC.

However, in the ADS7254, there is no expression about how to configure CCFR.B7, is there any influence of the input range when the CCFR.B7=0 or CCFR.B7=1?

Is the function of the CCFR.B7 in the ADS7254 the same as the CCFR.B7 ADS7253?

I would not suggest treating the register maps in the ADS7253 and ADS7254 similarly. The ADS7254 only supports fully-differential inputs and bit 7 of the CFR register must always be 0.

Thanks for your reply.

From your opinion, the customer has to set the CFR.B7=0 to let the input mode of the device work as fully-differential inputs.

Do I understand correctly?

Hi Wesley,

Yes, CFR.B7 MUST be set to 0 in the ADS7254. This is not optional. Please ask your customer to read the Configuration Register (CFR) description on page 34.
