ADC12DJ2700: Pulsed SYSREF?

Hi to all,

is it possible to initialise the ADC12DJ2700 with a pulsed SYSREF signal containing 4 SYSREF pulses?

The datasheet says continuous SYSREF or one single SYSREF pulse.

Is it possible that 4 SYSREF pulses, causes a faulty initialisation of the ADC?

    Hi Paul,

    Are you trying to achieve deterministic latency for the ADC?

    If you don't need deterministic latency you don't really need to apply the SYSREF to the ADC.

    The datasheet recommends continuous SYSREF to be applied to the ADC because the SYSREF is AC-coupled the ADC in most cases. If you have Sysref DC coupled( which is not easy to do because the common is low VCM~ 0.3V) 4 SYSREF pulses should be fine.
