AMC7812B: Switch GPIO pin into output channel

Part Number: AMC7812B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC7836

Can I change the firmware to change 4 GPIO pins into output channel so I can have 16 input, 16 output?

Thanks.

  • Hi Nine,

Thank you for your query. My colleague Paul will respond to you in the US timezone.

  • Hi Nine,

I am a bit confused about your inquiry.  Are you asking if the GPIOs can be changed to DAC outputs? So you can have 16 DAC outputs and 16 ADC inputs?

If that is the case, the answer is no.  The GPIOs can only be logic-level outputs.

If your application requires 16 DAC outputs and 16 ADC inputs, then you should consider the AMC7836.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • Hi, Paul

    1. Are the channels of AM7826 independent? Do they influence each other?

    2. Is there any Demo Board circuit for reference?

3.The ADC read voltage stores the value of the read voltage in the register and passes it to the MCU through the SPI. The DAC is still directly connected to the MCU and converted by the MCU

    Thanks

  • Hi,Paul

    1. Are the channels of AMC7836 ndependent? Do they influence each other?

2.AMC7836 reads the voltage by means of an ADC reading the voltage and storing the value of the read voltage in a register, which is then passed to the MCU through the SPI, or by connecting the DAC to the MCU, which is then converted directly by the MCU

    3.  Is there a demo board circuit for reference?
