ADS1252: ADS1252 Output Operation

Part Number: ADS1252

Hi

My Customer has question.

The customer confirmed the operation as shown below using ADS1252.
Confirmed when CLK was stopped and restarted with input voltage applied.
Is this phenomenon normal for ADS1252?

  • Hi T Kishi,

Would it be possible for your customer to share a schematic of their circuit?
It can be emailed to pa_deltasigma_apps@ti.com rather than posted online.

If you could also find out what the VDD supply voltage is and what the clock frequencies are for CLK and SCLK it would be very helpful.

From the oscilloscope screenshot, I could not see enough detail to differential between different SCLK edges. Would it be possible for the customer to share a screenshot of a single read operation?

It does appear like there is quite a bit of noise on the SPI signals, in some cases some very large negative spikes (what looks like -2V). If this is indeed the case, then this may be damaging the device.

  • Hi Chris

    Thank you for reply.

I sent the schematic to e-mail address.
Check the circuit diagram for anything.
Also, please let us know if there is anything you can think of from this event.

  • Hi T Kishi,

Would you be able to explain the specific customer issue/event? Unfortunately, I currently do not understand what issue the customer is referring to.
