DAC8775: Can it handle a load of 500 ohms?

Part Number: DAC8775

My customer would like to understand whether we have a variant of DAC8775 / an alternative that can handle voltage and current loads of 500ohms?

BR Josef

  • Josef,

The DAC8775 can drive a 500 ohm load for the current output.

For the voltage output, it is possible but the device was characterized using a 1kOhm load. So some of the parametric errors may be a bit worse at 500 ohms. Within the linear region of operation the output impedance is specified as 0.01 ohms to give some idea how to calculate what the error contribution would be.
