Dear team,
Customer want to know when they use THS1209, how about the connection of Pin 15(conv_clk), Pin 16(Sync) and CS1 with F28335? Directly to IO port?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Sammi

Hi Sammi,
The THS1209 conv_clk pin is the actual conversion clock for the device. If the plan is to do a simple 'bit bang' control of the THS1209, then yes, you can connect it to a GPIO. If you expect to get the 8MSPS sample rate, you need to use a PWM output to drive the pin. You also need to control the reading of the data which is going to be essentially a shifted version of the CONV_CLK (review Figure 25). The SYNC output is only applicable when you are using the single ended input option. It's an indicator of CH1 vs CH2 data and could go to a GPIO.
