AFE4490SPO2EVM: Unknown Command

I am developing a custom GUI and am using a serial monitor program to make sure that I am not missing any basic commands/settings that the provided GUI is sending.

I noticed on board startup that the GUI is sending 0x08 0x0D but I am not seeing the 0x08 command in any of the documentation. What is this command?? Thanks.

Hi Martin,

0x08 is command for calibration, however this has no significance in the firmware. You can ignore this command.

I am not modifying the firmware, I am creating a new GUI to integrate with the existing firmware. What exactly is it calibrating? I likely will need to do the same level of calibration.

Hello Martin,

Sending 0x08 calls calibration function which is empty and always returns a constant. There is no need to send this command from your custom GUI.
