I am using AMC7812B in my design

I have two questions:

1. I power up the device, I Have I2C interface with it, I can read the Device ID, and also I can read the registers

when I read register 0x4C it returns 0x2040 and not 0x2000, I read about it and so the I a global alarm

how do i reset/clear this alarm?

2. I am trying to make DAC 0 to work,

with an internal reference, and GAIN 2

but it seems that I am missing something

can you please tell me the configuration I need to read so it will work

0x6B - 0x7C00

0x4C - 0x2C00

0x59 - 0x0000

0x33 - 0x0FFF

dis i miss something' or i need to change the order of the writing

Hi Benny,

To clarify, you have connected REF-OUT to the REF-DAC pin, correct?

Can you confirm the voltage of REF-DAC after you write to register 0x6B?

Are you writing to any other registers besides those that you have listed?

Hi Paul

I used a new AMC7812B, and now it works, I can see the DAC working

but I still read the register 4C now after the DAC as 0x2C40

is there any way to disable the Alarm or should I ignore it?

The alarm will still be asserted, but by default, it does not have any action for the device. If you want, you can simply short the D± pins to ground and that should prevent the "open" alarm.
