An estimation of the chip-junction temperature, T_J, can be obtained from the following equation:

T_J = T_A + ( R _θJA × P_D ) = 25 + (68.8*82.5m) = 30.6°C

where: T_A = ambient temperature for the package ( °C ) - 25°C as an example

R _θJA = junction to ambient thermal resistance ( °C / W ) - 68.8°C/W

P_D = power dissipation in package (W) - 82.5mW for ADS8688A
