An estimation of the chip-junction temperature, TJ, can be obtained from the following equation:
TJ = TA + ( R θJA × PD ) = 25 + (68.8*82.5m) = 30.6°C
where: TA = ambient temperature for the package ( °C ) - 25°C as an example
R θJA = junction to ambient thermal resistance ( °C / W ) - 68.8°C/W
PD = power dissipation in package (W) - 82.5mW for ADS8688A
