Migration from TVP5150AM1 to TVP5151

Hi,

Is there an official TVP5151 migration note from TVP5150AM1 for customers?

May I say the customer can simply replace them on their current TVP5150AM1 boards without any register setting changes?

Hello Fukuhara,

We don't have the TVP5151 migration note from TVP5150AM1 but the different between them are:

HW: using 27 MHz crystal instead of 14.3 MHz in TVP5150AM1

SW: has new ROM which has all the bugs found in TVP5150AM1 fixed.

Could we say below?

TVP5151 ROM SW = TVP5150AM1 ROM + TVP5150A_v048CAA patch

I will let my customer to evaluate other minor SW changes on TVP5151 in addition to ones above.

Hello Fukuhara,

The TVP5151 has ROM released at end of 2008 so I can only say it has all the fixed in TVP5150AM1 up to 12/2008. Since then, we discovered and fix a few minor issues and the latest patch for TVP5151 is v01.25. The latest patch can be download from:
