Hi team
My customer is using ADS1018-q1. They want to know where the Max value of INL/DNL/Offset/Gain are from. Are they from 3sigma or 5 sigma standard deviation? Could you kindly share the data criterion for these specs?
Regards
Michael

Michael,
For most specifications, we use a wide maximum value to eliminate all material that would be outside the maximum. Assuming a Gaussian distribution, 3 out of 1000 units (0.3%), would be outside the three sigma limits. For maximums, we would be more conservative than that.
We use a variety of different methods for determining the maximum limits based on measurement distribution, design, and test capability. We're probably closer to 6 sigma or higher to determining limits for our electrical characteristics.
