ADS42LB69: Two ADS42LB69s Synchronization

Hello,

In order to align two ADS42LB69 outputs, SYNCINN/P have to be used, even the input clock divider is bypassed (divide-by-1)?

Or if CLKINP/N phases are aligned at two ADS42LB69s, no need to use SYNCINN/P when the input clock divider is bypassed?

Hirano,

If the input clock divider is not used, SYNC has no function. SYNC resets the phase of input clock divider. It doesn’t serve any other purpose.

To align two devices using the divided by 1 clock, make sure to use the same clock for all parts, minimize skew on clock routing, and if possible, use the same power supply.

Hirano,

If the supplies are different levels (in mv) there may be a very slight difference in when the sample actually occurs. Probably very minimal.
