ADS1293EVM: Error while opening the ADS1293EVM software - program stuck at "Executing: WvBoardEnum"

When I open the ADS1293 software on my laptop, one of the following happens:

  1. The software is stuck in in "Initiating Board, please wait" process and stops responding (OR)
  2. I get a message saying "WvBoardEnum failed"

I have attached a screenshot of Situation 1. I am running the software on a laptop with Windows 10 Pro. I have installed the corresponding drivers for the ADS1293EVM evaluation board and the board is displayed in the list of devices in my Device Manager.

Any help with solving this would be greatly appreciated.
