ADC12DJ3200EVM: Not able to perform Initial Frame and Lane Synchronization Test Cases

Hi,

  I am using AD12DJ3200EVM card . I configured ADC card for JMODE0 (4 lanes ,K=32 ) and am able to perform CGS test. But when I am doing frame and lane alignment test not able to see Multi-frame starts with 0×1C.Is any configuration we need to do for this test? 

Please tell me about how to perform this Initial Frame and Lane Synchronization Test Cases?

  • Hi Deepak,

    The ADC12DJ3200 is JMODE0 is 8 lanes not 4 lanes. For JMODE0 F = 8 and you are using K =32.

    After CGS ends and the syncn signal goes high. The ADC will keep on sending K28.5 until the rising edge of LMFC clock is detected by the ADC. At the rising edge ILAS begins.

    The min duration from CGS to ILAS is F + 9octets.

    ILAS will fail if receiver configured parameters do not match the transmitted ILAS configuration parameters such as L,M,F etc.

         Thanks for quick response. Please can you suggest me how to configure ADC for JMODE0 with 4 lanes. As JMODE0 is for 8 lanes. Is that possible to configure JMODE0 for 4 lanes?

  • Hi Deepak,

    Each Jmode has fixed number of serdes lanes. Jmode0 only supports 8 lanes. You cannot configure it to 4 lanes. You will have to look at JMODE table18 in the datasheet and pick up appropriate mode.
