DAC8760: Gain error

Part Number: DAC8760

Hi,

My customer will set Gain Cal Register which is explained in chapter 5.1 “Digital Correction for the +VSENSE Error” in datasheet. The load(RLOAD) of his application seems to be changed depend on the device which connect to Vout-Iout.

He would like to know how to consider the gain error rate.

For example,

His application calibrates Gain error for Rload=500 ohm at his MP line but actual Rload is 200 ohm at the field. Could you please let me know how to calculate the gain error gap? I guess the failure rate with actual Rload is 0.43432% as below. Is it correct?

-        Gain Error at 500ohm (Default) is (Rload * 70kohm) / 70kohm = 0.70922%

-        Gain Error at 200ohm (Default) is (Rload * 70kohm) / 70kohm = 0.2849%

-        The gap between 500ohm error which customer calibrated and 200ohm error which actual Rload on application is 0.2849% - 0.70922% = 0.43432%.

Regards,

Nagata.
