Part Number: ADS8920BEVM-PDK
Hello everyone,
I am working with ADS8920BEVM-PDK evaluation board. I would like to use SPI to connect it to DSP, without using PHI controller board.
It would be of a huge help if someone knows what kind of connector is the one that connects ADS board and PHI controller board and is there possibly a certain type of cable that can be used?
I would very much appreciate any comment or suggestion.

Hi Keith,
I am designing a custom PCB on which I can solder this connector, so that I can approach the SPI interface of ADS board without the controller.
The PCB looks like this:
For correct functioning of the board I have taken the following pins: /RST, SDI, CONVST, /CS, SCLK, SDO-0,SDO-1,SDO-2,SDO-3, EVM_REG5V5, EVM_DVDD and AGND. If I am not able to solder the four middle big plates that are generally connected to analog ground, is okay that I bring the analog ground to the ADS through pin 3 of QTH-030-001 connector and have these middle four unsoldered to board?
