DAC088S085: Data converters forum

Part Number: DAC088S085

I an using two dac088s085 in daisy chain Operation.

The first dac088s085 : VA: 5.0V, VREF: 5.0V, and the second dac08s085 :VA: 5.0V, VREF: 3.3V.

Could the VREF of two dac088s085 be different? What's the problem will be?

Is the voltage of DIN and Dout pins always be VA? Thanks.

  • Hello,

VREF has no implication on daisy chain functionality or digital I/O logic thresholds. In fact, this part is quite flexible in the regard of accommodating digital thresholds and supplies.

I do not understand your second question. DIN thresholds are defined on page 7 of the EC table. Logic outputs unfortunately do not seem to be defined, however would not exceed the VA supply.
