ADS8920B: I/F confirmation

Hi team,

When we will check the SPI W/R validity with MCU, can we operate ADS8920B w/o RVDD and VREF?
Can we run ADS820B in the following condition?

RVDD: open
VREF: open
AIN: shorted
REFBUFOUT: open
GND/REFM1: SGND
RST: DVDD
CONVST: SGND

By the way, does the data transfer zone-2 cause any performance; ENOB, etc. ?

    Hello Iwata-san,

    You will not damage the device in this configuration since none of the ABS MAX specifications are exceeded.  However, the device may not operate correctly when the other supply voltages are applied, requiring a reset or power-cycle reset.

    Zone-2 transfer will not degrade any of the specifications.  The ADS8900BEVM (20b) operates in zone 2 mode and achieves data sheet performance.
