TSC2007: Interrupt signal

Part Number: TSC2007

Hello team,

I have question for TSC2007.

Does the device output interrupt(/PENIRQ) signal without touching a touch panel in some condition?

Customer sees the device outputs 10msec regular interrupt after touching a panel only once.

I2C communication seems work even in the situation but X and Y coordinate information is bad.

Please see waveform below(Yellow: Interrupt, Blue: clock, Pink: data).

Best regards,

  • Hello Taketo-san,

There can be instances of PENIRQ false triggering when writing to bit PD0. It is recommended that the host processor masks the interrupt associated to PENIRQ when writing to the device. More information on this can be found in the Touch Detect section of the data sheet.

    Regards,

    Aaron
