DAC8564: about external capacitor and temp drift

Hello,

The datasheet states that for improved noise performance, an external load capacitor connected to Vref is recommended.

So, if this external load capacitor was not connected, the temperature drift will increase?

Or the temperature drift is not affected by the external capacitor?

Hi,

Capacitor is recommended (min 100nF) is purely based on noise filtering requirements. It doesnt affect your drift numbers.

But if your capacitor has leakage and that leakage depends on temperature, you may observe some drift on the reference output.
