ADC12DJ5200RF: Want to know the calibration function

Part Number: ADC12DJ5200RF

Hi,

I am currently using an ADC12DJ5200 with a board that I designed myself, but I am having trouble with the offset of the ADC output.

So I have some questions about calibration.
・Is this calibration done in analog?
・How often does background calibration switch between ADCs?
・Is the calibration function correct for the purpose of improving the accuracy of AD conversion results?
・What algorithm does this calibration work with? (if it is possible to answer)

  • Hi Shogo,

I can address some of your questions but others, I cannot as this is part of the IP in the converter.

There is an internal DAC, adjusting the offset on the analog side.

One thing to try is instead of BG cal, try FG cal and enable the offset Cal in that mode, ie- FG

Another thing to try, is to adjust the offset manually, by adjusting the offset reg OADJ_A_FG0_VINA for example, see page 123, remember to remove the BG and FG cal when applying this manually.

    Regards,

    Rob
