Hello Dev,
The DAC8742H is compatible with any UART controller transmitting or receiving at 1200 baud. It is also compatible with SPI controllers with clock polarity & phase of either 0,1 or 1,0.
What interface controller do you intend to use for your design? I'll find out more about what UART/ SPI code examples we may have using our MSP430 MCU family.
Regards
Reza
Dear Reza,
I use MXP KL17 controller, but I'm familar also with MSP430 series.
For me the initialization sequence for UART and SPI mode is interresting.
Best regards
Dev
Hello Dev,
Please check out the link below which has some resources to help with your design. Unfortunately the only 'code' there is a header file definition for the DAC874xH register map.

What specifically are you interested in about UART/ SPI mode? Which mode do you intend to use for your design?

Hello Dev,
Have you made any progress with your design? If you can provide some more detail, I can explain how to initialize and configure the DAC8742H.
