DAC3171EVM: Is there a way to program the EVM to generate a test output (signal waveform) without connecting to a pattern generator?

We just purchased the DAC3171EVM and want to generate a single tone but do not have the pattern generator yet. Can the EVM be setup to self generate an output signal without a pattern generator attached?
